The Perkiomen Valley Art Department serves students K-12 at Perkiomen Valley SD. on June 2nd,  2018, the Art Department will host its third annual Art and Food Truck Festival from 12 noon to 4 pm to raise awareness for the arts at Perkiomen Valley and within our community.

Proceeds from last year’s festival have brought guest speakers such as; Abandoned America author/photographer Matthew Christopher and author/illustrator Kevin McClosky who spoke at building assemblies at Schwenksville and South Elementary in May of 2017.

Other activities that have been supported include a Spring RAKU Clay workshops for middle and high school students in April and May of last year, new paper cutters for both middle schools, and six new art show displays were purchased to replace aging displays for the high school.

Future plans will include, but not limited to;  expanding the RAKU Clay workshops, increasing the current Senior art award amounts, create a new Art Department Senior Award, provide opportunities for Senior art scholarships, award summer art experience scholarships for students at the elementary and middle school levels, as well as the purchase of digital art making tools for all of the art rooms.

Proceeds will also help subsidize the cost for the high school art experience trips to NYC and Philadelphia. Our goal as a department is to provide our students with the additional materials, equipment, artist workshops, speaking engagements and field trips to enrich their educational experience at Perkiomen Valley School District.

Thank you for your support!
